The adobe flash chronicles, a story of love and discord

Ok, so I love Vista, it's pretty and cheery and new and cool. BUT, I HATE Vista when it screws with my ability to view common websites. Something has occured that has created a situation where Vista and Adobe Flash can't play well together. We spent hours Thurs night trying to load Flash 9.0 so we could search for Sizzler commercials on You Tube (don't ask) and I did the same yesterday and today and when I was about ready to just get online and order a new computer (and APPLE!) because I'd read enough tech notes that were telling me I was pretty much "in a pickle"...I decided well hey let's give Safari a try. This is after I've read volumes and changed activeX controls and security settings and searched for old files that needed uninstalled and ARG, I just need to use a piece of slate and some chalk!

Anyway, it worked. I wish I'd thought of it sooner. So I can't view Mvelops or You Tube (we all know how important that is!) via internet explorer for some reason I'm not smart enough to discern, but I can if I use Safari. So, I'm frustrated, probably for dumb reasons that my pea brain just isn't smart enough to get, but I don't care because Safari and I are getting along just fine this morning. Safari is my friend. I don't know if I can really love or be friends with an internet browser, but if I could give safari a hug I would, that's all I'm sayin.

Thank you Safari, I love you! I'm so glad I switched!

As a person who loves just about everything that Apple makes, I can say I approve. :)

Also, Firefox 3 (due to come out on June 17th) is also a browser I'd highly recommend.

So long as it's not IE, it's all good. :)

You know, I thought to myself...

I wonder if Brian will read this...too funny.

Hope you and Lisa are doing well. I may come over to your side dawg, I think IE is demon possessed. :)

I use Firefox. I actually had some Adobe Flash issues, and I have Vista. However, the issues seemed to be linked to having an old version of Flash on my computer. When I deleted it and installed the newest version again, things seemed to be fine.

I am glad you solved your Flash woes, too!! :)

I have no Flash woes. But my laptop decided to develop a fever (the screen went all red) and only work at .05 second intervals. No browser woes- just computer laments. Glad it was fixed!!!
