Spatula City! Spatula City! Spatula City!
Don't get me wrong a love a good spatula as much as the next guy but please don't have a Weird Al theme...You know what I'm thinking (besides Arby's)...Two words "Money Pit"
Silly boys.
I'll be there M.K., with my Diet Coke.
Pete: UM NO, I already fell asleep with that one once...
Jason: we'll see. We are in fact leaning toward a Tom Hanks evening...but a black and white evening is still in the running...I do accept bribes.
Wendy: duh. :)
I was kidding about Weird Al since we were talking about it the other day.
Not sure that Money Pit would be a good movie for a red couch event. There are a couple of scenes that, well you know.
Too bad no one has any Buster Keaton. He's really funny even if his films are silent films. He's a fantastic stunt man too.
Toy Story
Toy Story2
Catch Me If You Can
Cars
Turner & Hooch
That Thing You Do!
You've Got Mail
A League of Their Own
Apollo 13
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (producer)
oh remember when he was on Family Ties! That was sad, he was the alcoholic uncle :( I also see that he was on Happy Days...which would be cool...
or
ELF
I'm thinking...
-The collected works of Hervé Villechaize
-Superhero movies (of course!)
-all three Extended Versions of the Lord of the Rings
-The Chronic(WHAT!)cles of Narnia
-Kevin Costner baseball movie night (Field of Dreams! For the Love of the Game!)
-Bruce Lee Movie Night
-A whole season of Seinfeld
-every Pixar movie, from worst (Cars?) to best (The Incredibles)
I could go on, but I shan't.
I'll be there and will bring any movie we need that I happen to own.
Per our convo...I will be there with Connor and pack'n'play in tow. The game plan:
1. get him (Connor) as tired as possible
2. then to take him for a drive (he usually falls asleep in the car)
3. then carry him back in and put him to bed (pack'n'play set up somewhere...)
Any help getting Connor tired out will be appreciated! Thanks Melissa for letting me bring the little lad along....hope he goes down okay...LOVE YOU!
Oh and I'm liking Jeannie's list a little better than Mark's! A League of Their Own is one of my all time favs....
Well I was wondering the video store last night looking for inspiration and this is what I picked up, you can tell me what you think and/or if you have other ideas bring them along and we'll see what the majority says...
I got a couple old favorites of mine: Sabrina (the bogey and audry version) and the Quiet Man (John Wayne, Maureen O'hara *the originial firey red head* I LOVE HER!) AWESOME MOVIE! and...if comedy is more the mood of the evening I got the two grumpy old men movies (thought that seemed to fit well with the theme of my life lately, JOKING ONLY JOKING for anyone who might feel offense) :)
Anyway those are some pretty funny movies, if you ask me can't do better than Jack Lemon and what's his name...so that's the options I have currently...like I said bring something along if you don't like the sound of either, we'll see how the mood strikes us on friday.
Walter Matthau
WOOO HOOOO!
Guess what....I actually dont have to work on the Red Couch Movie Night!!!!
So i will be there and not in my SCRUBS!
But it might be after Casey's rehearsal...if i am needed to attend (since Amee is the wedding planner)
You Got Mail is a good one...."Go to the mattresses!"
A Knight's Tale - Although it does show the back side of a man a couple of times :O( - But if someone had a TV version or fast forward by it.
Kate and Leopold - Funny one...good balance for guys and gals.
Benny and Joon - Great Jonny Depp one!
The Shawshank Redemption - by far on of the greatest movies made
Finding Forrester - Sean connery movie
National Treasure - Not sure if it has already been seen at the Red Couch.
Well that's my 2 cents worth! See ya tommorrow!
Jed
Since I do not have to work. I will also be there.
All the movie titles sound good. Grumpy Old Men....I can tell you a thing or two about grumpy old men, but on the other hand I better not since the stories I can tell are not the best to be repeated.
