Oldish man grows olderish...

Mark's birthday is Sunday, we're celebrating him Friday here on the couch.

When: Friday; 6 pm
What: Supper and Cake
Where: 516 Red Couch Blvd.
Why: You just never know how many additional bithday's a person will have once you reach his age...
Events: Subject to the creative license of the Mup (but I think we can assume it'll have something to do with some variety of super person)

So, come eat and have fun with us!

*Edit* Bring a lawn chair, in case anyone wants to be outside. Movies will surprisingly include:

Batman Returns and Superman Returns

A further invitation:

My folks will be in town this weekend and they like to hit Texas Roadhouse while they're here. So...

Careerian Sunday lunch at the Roadhouse? It'll be just like other Careerian Sunday lunches, except my folks'll be there.

And don't get any funny ideas - they ain't paying for y'all.

:)

Isn't the roadhouse where they make birthday people wear a cowboy hat and sit in a saddle while the staff sing some country version of a birthday ballad?

Uh...

Dang.

Well, yippe-ki-yi-yay, I guess!

I'm RSVPing my regrets. :(

Count me in.

So there! I'm in for the Roadhouse too (yum). Remember that this is Brandy's last Sunday so the lunch will double as a farewell for her.

I plan on being there...unless we have a stawberry malfunction at the SK!

The reason for the "Returns" movies is because a common birthday wish is "Many happy returns."

:)

Also, if I bring Karaoke Party Revolution, will I get any takers?

I would like to mention that amongst the variety of "So, which super hero movie are we watching questions" that I fielded at the ladies study last night, Mary Agley (who along with her significant other will NOT be coming, some lame excuse about previous plans...:)), inquired if it was required to come dressed like a super hero.

Um, no this is not a requirement but please feel free, if the mood strikes you, to dawn your favorite cape and mask. VERY FUNNY Miss Agley! :)

So I can just wear my normal clothes then? (Surely drumming or engineering can be counted as some sort of superpower)

OH HILARIOUS, the two of you are JUST HILARIOUS!

So, when I complain enough, I get what, is that how it works?

Do hope the funny pair of you can come, but I understand about plans.

:)

I will pass your greetings along to them - they seem to be fine! :)

And thanks!

Yep, I'm there.
I was thinking, hmmmm.....what would Mark want for his b-day?
*light bulb appears above my head*
"A class on how to get what you want from Customer Service at Best Buy".
You need to return anything?

MadMup said...

Ha! Perfect idea :)

But, no, I'm good for now. Can I get a rain check for the next time I need something returned?

I'll be there. M-Kat what can I bring to assist? Drinks...food... a cane for the old guy. Just let me know.

On another note, I personally believe wendals could sell a ketchup popcycle to a women in white gloves. Mark have her return anything and you'll end up with something free. ;-)

Anyone bringing "the old guy" a cane is liable to be hit with it.

You've been forewarned.

Count me in.

I like ketchup popcycles, especially with a nice New York style spicy mustard.

I agree that Wendles has some serious skilz in the "gets what she wants" category. She scares people and they have no choice but to hand over whatever it is she's after...:)

Lee, bring some beverages and evidentally a cane is a good idea in case we're in need of additionaly activities for the evening! Thanks!
