Jeannie, only tagged me so I'd tell you all about my high school sporting career so, I feel like that needs to be number one...had some difficulty deciding on the rest. All I have to say is, be careful what you ask for J...
1. So, yes, I was the 1995 Illinois State Shot Put Champion. And now, a related story, I'm RIDICULOUSLY competitive. BEWARE!
2. Someone once offered me 200 bucks, {Edit *if I would allow them*} to touch my hair - I took it. Do you know how long it takes to make $200 in tips? Don't judge. I wouldn't do it again, unless I needed 200 bucks.
3. I learn things the hard way just about anytime I have the chance. For example, there's the time my dad was teaching me to drive stick (in 2nd grade). We lived out in the boon docks, I decided to go for a cruise (alone) and backed into the tree in the neighbor's front yard. Or the time a good friend and I decided it'd be a good idea to switch drivers on a gravel road while driving and landed my 1st car (86 ford taurus) in the ditch. Do you see the pattern developing here?
4. I once walked about 5 miles in the mud after a friend buried his truck in the middle of no-where. We decided to disembark the vehicle when we saw the blue lights drawing near.
5. A fact I wish were better known about me - I've come through my 30 years choosing plan B a bit more than I'd like to admit and I have the scars to show for it. I often feel like I've been a miserable waste of God's time. I'm thankful He's a patient and merciful God. ~Philippians 1:6

I'm confused -- they wanted to touch your hair or they wanted *you* to touch your hair? Either way, that's more than a little strange.
But, hey! $200!
M-
I agree (being a "plan B" girl most of my life as well), I am so thankful for God's grace and mercy. But especially thankful that He has put you in my life - a friend who understands how easy it is to get lured away by plan B. Like a moth to a flame baby! Or in my case, more like a moth to a bugzapper. (And boy do those zaps hurt - OUCH).
I love you Wendles!
Mark - please see revised post
Ah, thank you for the clarification. I am now having flashes of Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" and am glad you didn't end up like Curly's wife.
lol - me too
Do you still have the medal or trophy for your illinois state shot put champion?
and oh...oh...can i touch your hair for $0.01! hehe! Amee is ok with too! lol!
loved the facts!

I too am a "plan B" woman. Thankfully God allows me to mistakes in order to grow and learn in the end. I didn't know you were a former athlete. I too am very competitive due to my high school glory days. I don't get as mad as I used to when I don't win (joking, but not really).
You didn't tag anyone.
The pattern I see developing it that you're not driving or borrowing my car ;-P
For several biblical reasons you are not a waste of God's time! Besides God doesn't do the whole time thing ;-)
I love your five facts! Unfortunately or fortunately!, none were little known to me!
HEY GIRL! Everyone, I'd like you to meet Amie, my best friend ever in the whole wide world - she's loved me since we were knee high to a grasshopper, through thick and thin (even when I was REALLY, REALLY STUPID, you guys have NO idea). I love her more than life! And, thanks for letting them know that I don't just have a vivid imagination, glad to see you're checking in now and again. Miss you!
Oh, and I might add - I was literally dragging Amie a good portion of that 5 or more miles of mud! Love you Amie :)!
Hi, Amie!
Hello all:
She did really drag me through that mud! We were both REALLY STUPID-she was not alone in this! I love you lots and miss you too! It is probably the little known facts edition II that I need to read - the ones that probably most people who read this know. Does that make sense? I seem to be rambling. I think I inherited rambling from a good friend, and from what I hear she has a red head and a red couch.
A-ME
King Jason, I do have to admit (and Amie can attest) that I've done my share of stupid things in cars - that's a page turned now (mostly). Took out a Hardees mail-box (set in concrete) with my first monte carlo when I was I think 19 or 20 I think b/c I thought I was cool, lied to the cops about how that happened...we also had been know to take Amie's olds achieva or pontiac sunfire "muddin" when the mood struck us - the stories are endless..."we was just redneck girls, can't help it" It's part of me :) - but it's ok if you don't let me drive your wagon, it bein' so cool and all :).
Amie, thanks for coming back, please visit often! you do need to come see the real couch. You could come to church with me and meet all these jokers!
m. kate - I consider myself more of the riddler type. Riddle me this riddle me that...
