I've found I don't do a good job of being thankful, especially in terms of helping people know how thankful I am for them...well I'm resolved to being better at that. I am abundantly blessed and have many, many, many things for which to be thankful. I've found this past week that a heart and mind of thankfulness makes life a lot more fun and you know...more glorifying too, who knew...
Please, help me in my quest for thankfulness, tell me about all the things you're thankful for.

Is this like open group prayer or something, everyone's afraid to go first?
Ok, I'll start with some easy, no so personal ones, but feel free to get and gushy about your fiances or new spouses as you like (you know who you are)...
I'm thankful I don't have to come back to my office for an ENTIRE WEEK!
I'm thankful for godly friends that point me to the Lord when I'm being stupid.
I'm thankful for Rom. 8:28 and Phil 1:6
I'm thankful for Connor and the awesome opportunity God has given me to be his mamma!
I'm thankful for my 20 students and the fact that even when I mess up they still love me. And I can always do better tomorrow.
I'm thankful for my church family and all of my friends that love me eventhough I'm always messing up.
Oh yeah, and I'm thankful for Jesus...that he loved me first and died for me. He's pretty much awesome in my book!
I'm thankful God is a God of second (and third, and fourth...) chances.
Amen to that!
I think one thing that I've been most thankful for in the last year is the fact that I am your roommate. I never knew what an encouragement or dear a friend you would become to me. I pray you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving time. I will see you on Friday. God is very good.
Can I get gushy about my not-so-new spouse? God certainly gave me an incredible gift when He gave Steve to me....and although we have worked very hard in our 38 years of marriage to not take each other for granted, this past year and a half has been a reminder of what a wonderful partner I have. I thank God for him.
I also thank God for my children and in-laws, my grandchildren (who are ADORABLE!!!)and even our dog, Pepper.
I am thankful for dear friends who stand beside and uplift when things get tough. I don't know what I would have done without caring friends in these past several months.
But most of all I am thankful for God and His precious Word. He is ALWAYS there through every circumstance of my life and His Word speaks to me and gives me comfort and peace.
Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving!
Marie
