I've had about a grillion people ask about when the next couch party will be. I'd like to note, I do have a life outside of feeding all you people. However, it is something I rather like to do and I maybe kinda miss y'all. So, plan to be at our place, on the red couch, next weekend for some movies.
When: Friday, June 1st; 7 o'clock
What: I hate to even say this but...Princess Bride and "something"
Where: 516 Red Couch Blvd.
Food: I ain't feedin' ya supper but we'll have snacks.

No supper?!? I'm outraged!
...but the use of the word "grillion" more than makes up for it.
I'm there! Though I am curious what the other movie offering might be!
Princess Bride? Seriously? I might be the only girl that does not like that movie. If I can make it I might just have to bring something else Mel.
INCONCEIVABLE!
I will have to check my schedule to see if i can be there! see ya!
Jed
Jeremiah - You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.
Dana - You just haven't watched it with the right people.
Mel - count me in!
BTW - Anybody want a peanut?
Pete - Stop it now, I really mean it.
I have to agree with the masses, the Princess Bride is a classic. And one of only two movies I actually own.
Now I'm up for watching the other, but I'm not so sure how many of you would sit through Holly Golightly singing "Moon River".
See what happens when you only post once a week. All this emotion and thought just gets thrown out there...
Pete, you killed my father. Prepare to die!
OK, I have to assume that there's "movie insider talk" occuring here that I have no idea about b/c, sorry I'm with Dana I think this movie is uh, less than my favorite.
But, I know "people" enjoy it. And, you know I'm always looking for ways to be a sacrificial servant *cough.*
However, just so you know, I think the "something" may end up being Pride and Prejudice for me and Dana, if we can find the wide screen version somewhere...so prepare yourself men, it's a compromise event schedule.
ohh oh How about Pride and Prejudice the 5 hour edition with Colin Firth. *sigh* he is dreamy....
Of course you realize when we watch Princess Bride, Mark and I may have to pull out all our CDs created by the famous Mandy Patinkin. (Google him).
Melissa - we have Pride and Prejudice (one of our very favorites.... okay, well at least Keri's and mine). Sarah Hill borrowed it and will check tonight to see if it's WS - if so, you're welcome to borrow it for your red couch event. =)
Not to worry I DO have Pride & Prejudice (wide screen). I'll bring it and even if I can't come I'll make sure to drop it by next week on one of our walks! I do hope I can come watch it though...
Ahhh, Mr. Darcy....
As long as it's widescreen I'll be able to watch it.
Pete,
Yes i do use that word alot, because it is my favorite line of that movie we are talking about... the Princess Bride!
Vizzini says INCONCEIVABLE multiple times through out the movie!
So i was just quoting it to get into the spirit of watching the Princess Bride!
How about one of the Pirates of the Carribeans for the encore movie? Since, the 3rd movie is coming out tonight! Anyone else a pirate fan?
Jed.
Mkate:
I have to work that friday, but will be getting out around 730 so i and amee might be able to hit the 2nd feature! Thanks for opening your house! And i will try not to fall asleep this time! lol
Jed
We did both Pirate movies recently, if I'm remembering correctly... Keep up, man!
Jed,
If you and the wifey are interested, a group of us are going to see Pirates 3 tonight, after the furniture unboxing session. You are welcome to join us!
My favorite line from P&P; Doofy Mr. Collins' attempt at a compliment during dinner at the Bennet's.
"What excellent boiled potatoes. It's been many years since I had such an exemplary vegetable..."
lol, ridiculous little man with ridiculous comments
man i work to much!
We need more nurses, so i can go to some of these movie nights! I'm so bummed that i missed the POTC movie night! oh well...it isnt like i dont have them here at home.
Sorry i missed the part 3 of the POTC and the funiture night, but once again...at work! Thanks for the invite though.
Jed
Looking forward to seeing you all on friday. Sounds like some of my old peeps from Danville will be coming to join us to so WOOT!
Laurie - thanks for the offer of the movie, but sounds like Dana has us covered. You and Karri could come on by...move from virtual to reality couchers...if you're not scared of the crazy careerians and you know you have nothing better to do on a friday night :)
See you all Friday.
Yes...Be afraid...Be VERY afraid! (insert evil laugh here)
I really appreciate your invite, Melissa. And I really wish we could, but we have a ball game and a wedding rehearsal.... not sure how we'll work that yet, but Keri and I do love movies, so maybe one of these days we'll pop in.
Is it Friday yet?
OK Laurie, you and "Keri" (sorry for the mispelling) have an open invitation.
Dana - Soon and very soon! Chin up! Love you!
Oh my chin is up girl! It is "Field Day" at Miller today and my team is kicking some butt! It is a beautiful day for the kids to be outside:)
Are you still up for our walk tonight?
